Partnership Talks With Sierra Leone Government

Stephen Makinwa, the CEO of Leo Universal Plantation, and his group recently had the privilege of meeting Dr. Abu Bakarr Karim, the esteemed Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. The meeting offered a unique chance to learn more about the minister’s goals, projects, and strategies for changing Sierra Leone’s agricultural landscape.
The minister stressed the value of sustainable agriculture as the cornerstone of their program during our conversation. The minister presented a thorough plan that aimed to encourage conservation, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and preserve biodiversity in response to the urgent need to offset the environmental effects of conventional farming practices. This idea of sustainable agriculture aimed to strike a balance between the prudent management of natural resources and economic prosperity.
